Website migration
The data migration from Drupal to WordPress was a fundamental part of this project. Using our custom-developed scripts, the process was faster and the result more accurate. The source data needed to be accurately mapped so we could develop the site as a WordPress Multisite. Read more in the technical case study.
Email template builder
Although not something we're often asked for, we relished the challenge to build an integrated system to create regular client newsletters. Built within WordPress, the system works by allowing curated articles to be output as a pre-styled HTML template based on Sport Business branding. This saves the client precious production time, allowing their resources to be allocated elsewhere.
Elasticsearch
It's well recognised that the built-in WordPress search functionality isn’t that sophisticated. It’s important that users searching the site find the content they require, rather than be presented with a confusing array of irrelevant search results. We have a lot of experience in this area. Over the years we’ve devoted a large amount of research and development time to improve search results for users. You can read more about our R&D search work here.
Page builder
The flexibility to build specific graphic-rich marketing pages was a high priority feature to the client. We developed numerous templates and client-specific content blocks that gave a huge amount of control over the content. This ensured the site looked fresh and dynamic while being fully managed by the client.
