Project

New Statesman

Founded as a weekly review of politics and literature over one hundred years ago. The New Statesman is a celebrated political and current affairs magazine, with many award-winning writers. Powered by Standfirst for Kindle.

The Challenge

The New Statesman was experiencing production issues with their old Kindle for Periodicals system. The existing process was slow and didn’t support cover images. The team at New Statesman required control over the table of contents, the ability to add cover images, and a fast, efficient process.

The Solution

A custom RSS feed is provided from the New Statesman CMS, with all their latest magazine content included. This is imported into our Standfirst for Kindle platform which is then available for building and editing each issue. The production team arrange the articles as needed for the Kindle edition using our simple drag and drop interface.

I can say that I'm happy with the Standfirst for Kindle platform... the support team have been very helpful and responsive.
