We recently went for a company outing to TeamSport Karting in Warrington, where we competed against each other in our very own exclusive Premier Grand Prix!
I was actually slightly nervous to begin with, as it wasn’t my first choice for a teambuilding activity, but it actually turned out to be fantastic fun! I definitely got the racing bug and became very competitive!
Although the event was a race against each other, we all enjoyed sharing our tactics and strategies in the mid session break, and there was lots of discussion at the end of the race, over a few beers! (I still stand by the fact my qualifying time was let down by too many yellow flags!)
A trophy was given to each of the 3 best racers: In first place was Dave, 2nd place was Steve and 3rd was Chris! Very well done to you all. (I was quite pleased I managed to get 5th!)
A special mention should be made for Mim, who despite an injured knee, managed some great lap times and did very well. Especially considering a crash towards the end, in which there was worry that there may have been a broken finger! Despite the injury, she still had a good time and is willing to return, hurrah!
All in all, we had a great time, and will be back on the track as soon as we get chance to arrange again!
