The day of the 26th September dawned bright, sunny and cool – perfect autumn running conditions, for our team to take part in the 5k Colour Obstacle Rush at Aintree racecourse. After a pre warm up session with about 500 other participants, it was time to get down to business. We are pleased to report all four members of the team successfully made it over all ten obstacles and through each of the nine colour stations!
Our chosen charity is the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), a fantastic charity, whose volunteers provide a 24 hour lifeboat search and rescue service and have gone to the rescue of over 10,000 people in the last year alone. You can read more about the work they do here.
All in all, it was a great day and £145 was raised. We want to say a big thank you to everyone who donated and if you would like to donate, there is still time to do so here. We’ll leave you with a few snapshots of the day below.
